The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit
— Proverbs 18:21

Hi, I’m Jennifer Victoria Shayna, and this is my heart and calling. Born and raised in beautiful Victoria, BC, I’ve spent over 12 years working within the communities of Vancouver Island. My journey began with a degree in Child and Youth Care, specializing in child protection, which I completed in 2012.

Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to working with children, youth, families, and parents from all walks of life. Throughout my career, I’ve seen the cycles of trauma, addiction, and pain repeat over and over again. While some cycles can be broken, I began to ask: Are they ever truly healed?

Often, the generational trauma continues to affect families, leaving them bound to pain and patterns they can’t escape. It was through witnessing this and my own personal faith journey that I realized true freedom and healing don’t come from us—they come from the one true Counselor, Jesus Christ. I’ve been called to go beyond the secular methods of counseling and lean into the power of the Holy Spirit to bring real healing, to break generational strongholds, and to release the bondages of trauma and addiction.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” – Luke 4:18

Through prayer, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and faith in the ultimate Healer, I’ve shifted my focus to Christian counseling. My mission is to help people not only break free from cycles of pain but also experience deep, transformative healing through Jesus. This is where my heart is. Helping people find freedom, healing, and joy in Him is my calling, and I cannot wait to walk this journey with you. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3 Thank you for being here, and I’m so excited to see what God has in store for this journey together. Blessings, Jennifer Victoria Shayna
